As a responsible contractor, CRL accepts no compromise on safety. The company works to an exhaustive Safety Management System. It invests heavily in safety awareness and equipment and provides appropriate specialist training for all members of staff, from office personnel to site operatives and supervisors. CRL complies with all relevant safety legislation and requirements, carrying out detailed risk and material assessments. In accordance with Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations, CRL can act as Principal Contractor or Planning Supervisor. CRL Health & Safety Management System is accredited to OHSAS 18001. CRL is CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) Accredited.

CRL has implemented a comprehensive policy, that recognises its responsibilities to the environment. Wherever possible CRL selects and uses products and processes that lessen the impact on the environment. For example, given a choice, CRL use water-based rather than solvent-based coatings. CRL positively encourages its suppliers to provide environmentally friendly products and packaging and manages its our own operations to minimise noise, dust and wastage.

Training
CRL expands and maintains the level of knowledge at every level in its organisation. The company positively encourages staff to broaden their knowledge and funds specialist training programmes to ensure that they are up to date with the latest methods, materials and systems. The company actively supports programmes for National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Through continuous investment in training, we are able to deliver exceptional standards of workmanship in a wide range of specialist construction activity. The Company can offer structural training to Graduate Civil Engineers hoping to achieve membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
In order to address the problem of the skills shortage that affects many parts of the Construction Industry. CRL has set up its own in-house training faciility to ensure that its workforce continues to carry out concrete renovation work of the highest quality, as demanded by both the company and its clients.
