STRUCTURAL WATERPROOFING

Underground or liquid retaining structures constructed from concrete, blockwork or brickwork can often leak immediately after construction or during their service life. If, or when this occurs, Concrete Repairs Ltd (CRL) is able to provide an inspection and report service (for all types of structures), identify the reasons for failure, provide a range of costed repair options and the technical capability to put matters right.

The stopping of leaks is as much an art as a science. CRL has been carrying out structural waterproofing since 1955. This 50 years experience, using highly skilled tradesmen managed by professional Engineers, has enabled the company to provide a range of proven repair options using either the latest developments in materials and techniques, or tried and tested traditional methods.

Techniques
Typical Application

Water reactive injection Polyurethane (PU) foam resin, hand or machine pumped.
Sealing substantial water ingress.

Flexible water reactive injection PU foam resin, hand or machine pumped.
Sealing joints or cracks liable to movement.

Low viscosity elastic non-foaming PU resin, hand or machine pumped.
Sealing fine cracks in reinforced concrete walls or floors.
Long term sealing of PU foam resin.

Low viscosity Acrylic gel, twin piston machine pumped.
Curtain injection to waterproof concrete or brick structures. Sealing very fine cracks in concrete.

Injected cementitious grout.
Filling voids in concrete or masonry substrates.

Epoxy bonded surface hypalon water bars.
Joints or cracks liable to movement.

Multi-coat Renders.
Brick or concrete basements or water retaining structures with potentially numerous leaks.

Cementitious Coatings.
Concrete structures with fine leaking cracks.

Drained Systems.
Suspect basement structures which will not accept a rigid render.

Combinations of the above techniques are often necessary to deliver the required solution.

CRL has won many awards for the quality of its services and high safety standards.

It is also one of the few holders of the combined Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality accreditation (SHEQ), which comprises OHSAS 18001:1999 - Health and Safety Management, ISO 14001:1996 - Environmental Management and ISO 9001:2000 - Quality Systems.
