| The EWI Systems normally involve the installation of either expanded polystyrene or mineral fibre of varying thickness. This is fixed either directly to the substrate or to a lightweight metal frame. The render finishes can be directly applied to the board insulation, or in conjunction with an expanded metal lath or meshcloth, to provide a more physically durable system. The rendered finishes are available in a range of colours and textures allowing features such as raised bands, string courses, keystones etc, to be formed.
To create a masonry appearance (if required), CRL Facades is able to bond brickslips to the render before final pointing. Alternatively, the company can install insulated panels, or mesh panels, with brickslips already fixed, prior to final pointing.
CRL Facades has the in house skills to be able to manage and install an array of finishes, as well as the services listed above. On new build projects the company can operate as a specialist sub contractor and on external refurbishment schemes it can act as main contractor for the entire project, if required.
CRL Facades provides a nationwide service, via a network of regional offices located throughout the UK and is a full member of the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA). The company is an approved contractor for many of the leading façade material suppliers and is therefore in the unique position of being able to propose a range of solutions, in order to satisfy specific client requirements.
