Three new brochures, describing the company’s nation-wide expertise in the areas of bridge maintenance, hospital refurbishment and structural surveying, have just been published by specialist main contractor Concrete Repairs Limited (CRL).

Whilst the three liberally illustrated publications stem from the same company, the three individual areas of expertise are provided by three separate divisions of CRL. Bridge maintenance services are supplied by CRL, hospital refurbishment services are available through CRL Refurbishment and concrete surveying services are provided by CRL Surveys. Both CRL Refurbishment and CRL Surveys are divisions of CRL.

The bridge maintenance brochure describes the company’s multi-disciplined capabilities comprising civils and concrete repair works, corrosion control and composite strengthening, together with associated operations such as new bearing replacements, bridge deck joints, deck waterproofing, post tensioning, vehicle/pedestrian barrier installation, lighting and electrical works.

The hospital refurbishment document conveys details of a number of services designed to remedy structural defects, improve the building’s visual appearance and its impact on the environment, as well as its energy demands and medical needs.

The surveys brochure gives details with regard to the company’s unique and independent palliative, indicative, statistical and full survey procedures, together with other capabilities including reports on load testing, structural detailing and fire damage. In addition to identifying defects, services include costed options for repairs and tender documents for the works, thus enabling clients to quickly appreciate the problems, to allocate budgets and issue tenders. As the survey brochure points out ‘Well made judgements for long term solutions to the problems of distressed concrete rely entirely on the correct diagnosis of the root causes of the evident deterioration’’. Get these fundamentals right and you’re well on the way toward achieving an ultimately successful conclusion’.
