| Specialist main contractor, Concrete Repairs Limited (CRL), has promoted Rob Francis to the position of Facades Manager. In addition to having a wealth of experience in External Wall Insulation (EWI), Rob has extensive knowledge of other façade refurbishment processes, such as over-cladding and rain-screen cladding.
He will work closely with CRL’s Regional Business Development Managers, Estimators and Contracts teams, at each of the company’s four offices located in London, Bristol, Sheffield and Falkirk, in order to ensure that all façade contracts are delivered on time and to the highest level of quality. He will also oversee the training of CRL operatives and installation of the façade systems.
Over recent years, CRL’s facades business has grown significantly and currently accounts for nearly 20% of total company turnover. Rob will manage the continued growth of this business and ensure that CRL’s high quality standards are achieved.
The company has completed some major external wall insulation projects over the past couple of years, including the new Tally Ho 16-storey Taylor Woodrow landmark building in Finchley, London, the new K2 Crawley Leisure Centre and Brisbane House and Freemantle House, two huge 14-storey residential blocks in Thurrock.
