Upgrading old structures to new carbon standards

The contract had a 16 week programme and consisted of removing aluminium panels from the balcony Kawneer window system and replacing them with a new unbreakable laminated foil backed coloured glass panels made by Chromatics Glass.

In addition, while the old panels had been removed, CRL put in new SFS framing clad with particle cement boards, Rockwool insulation and Rockwool fire barriers. All works were carried out off mast climbers. All the above was carried out to a rigorous inspection and sign off regime by Renfrewshire Councils designated Project Manager.

The works were completed on time and to the satisfaction of the Council and all the residents who occupied their dwellings throughout the entire operation. We are proud that we had no complaints throughout the whole contract.
